Welcome to Noveltindie,

a book publicity company dedicated to highlight and boost BIPOC-authored titles published independently and by small presses, created by Paola M. With Noveltindie, I hope to create opportunities for BIPOC authors to promote their books and reach a wider audience.

Why does Noveltindie exist?

On November 25th, 2020, Bertelsmann (the parent company of Penguin Random House) announced that it had reached an agreement to buy Simon & Schuster from ViacomCBS for $2.175 billion. According to the United States of America’s Department of Justice, this meant that, “Post-merger, the two largest publishers would collectively control more than two-thirds of this market, leaving hundreds of authors with fewer alternatives and less leverage.”

I want to combat that. I want to create opportunities where books by BIPOC that are either self-published or published under a small/independent press also have chance at finding the right readers. I want to spread the word and highlight books that would otherwise fly under the radar and help readers diversify their bookshelves.

How does Noveltindie work?

I am in the process of building a directory divided by age category and genre. You can submit a book here! This resource will be public and made available by the end of the month and I will be updating it weekly.

In addition to that, Noveltindie will have weekly recommendations/suggestions lists featuring upcoming releases and backlist titles. We also have a variety of services, such as cover reveals, digital book tours and more. Check out our services here!

And now, some book recommendations:
